Stainless steel 316 and 316L pipe fittings are manufactured in compliance with ASTM A-403 and ANSI B16.9 / 16.28 / MSS SP-43 / Welding Bevel Standards ANSI B 16.25.
We specialise in the manufacture and supply of SS 316 pipe bends in both standard and non-standard sizes, with bending radius of 1D to 10D or any other custom bending radius. We offer ex-stock delivery of various standard size and type SS 316 pipe fittings, SS 316 flanges and SS 316 pipe bends.
Our specialty is to manufacture and supply large size fabricated 100% radiography tested SS 316 elbows, SS 316 reducers, SS 316 tees and SS 316 large diameter fabricated pipes.
Stainless steel 316 and 316L are the second most commonly used stainless steel grades after 304/304L, being a higher version of 304, with addition of molybdenum and slightly higher content of nickel. The properties of stainless steel 316 are similar to that of Type 304, except that alloy 316 is stronger at elevated temperatures.
316L is the low carbon version, while Type 316H is a higher carbon version of 316 stainless steels. Meanwhile, 316Ti is a titanium stabilized version of 316. Resistance to sensitization is achieved in type 316Ti with titanium additions to stabilize the structure against chromium carbide precipitation, which is the source of sensitization.
